NEW! Intro to Creative Writing
with Madison Jones
Intro to Creative Writing is a class meant to explore creativity and the basics of crafting a story. We will cover some main elements of a narrative–characters, setting, tone, plot, and genre–by examining fantastic stories across different mediums and looking at the great advice writers have shared themselves. Writing exercises throughout the class will aim to stir up creativity while building writing fluency and confidence. This course is great for beginning writers, but is open to anyone looking to revisit the basics.
Knife Making 1
with Randy Tanner
Build a custom, high-performance cutting tool from scratch using traditional stock removal methods. In this hands-on course, you will transform a raw bar of tool steel and a block of resin-impregnated wood into a beautiful, durable, full-tang fixed-blade knife.
This class is completely kit-free; you will design, profile, bevel, and heat-treat your own blade from raw materials.
Please Note: This course focuses entirely on the stock removal method (shaping steel by grinding and cutting). Material forging (blacksmithing with a hammer and anvil) is not included.
